All Change – ready for the 2025 season

Since the museum closed on Remembrance Sunday 2024 the volunteers have been hard at work upgrading the museum and changing 30% of the displays.

With our wonderful cafe manager Suzi Bone standing down at the end of last season, our new cafe manager Sophie Easey has been quick to stamp her mark on the cafe and completely refurbish the cafe counters to give them more of a 1940’s feel.

Our shop has also had a major re-brand and has become Drew’s Store, in honour of Urban Drew the 361st FG ace who received his DFC in our shop building. We have invested in many new stock new lines including new T-shirts, bags and hats with much more of a 361st Fighter Group theme.

We also have a completely new room for the 2025 season , the Sulo Sanda room. Named to honour a 361st veteran whose family have been great supporters of the museum. The room features many new innovative displays including one of the role of women during WW2.

Other display areas have also been revamped with the USAAF room getting more of a P-47 Thunderbolt theme that includes the story of Glen Berge, the first USAAF fatality at Bottisham. Meanwhile, we also completely revamped our Home Front displays to include the story of the RAF Regiment at Bottisham.

We can’t wait to welcome you for the 2025 season! The museum will be open every Sunday and Wednesday from 10.30am to 4pm until Remembrance Sunday on 9th November.
