Bottisham Airfield Museum has launched a new fundraising appeal to raise funds for the restoration of the interior of the original buildings.
Substantial funds have already been raised to cover the external restoration which has included new roofs, new windows, electrics and rendering, however more money is now needed to fund the restoration of the inside of the buildings to the same standard as the outside.
We need to raise £7000 and this will cover internal re-decoration, stripping of walls, brick work to re-instate doorways and passage ways, fitting doors and door frames and potentially the acquisition of some original furniture.
The restoration will hopefully include turning the clock back on a couple of the rooms to show how they looked in 1944.
Any support would be greatly appreciated. Your donation will help us tell the story of the brave men and women who served at Bottisham during World War 2 and help make the museum a stand out centre for education and a great venue for living history events.
